PokerBot

Machine learning is a very interesting topic, and our team was excited to learn about how to write dynamic programs that get smarter over time. A bot that plays poker is a good vehicle for this type of learning because the game is deeply rooted in probability and statistics, but also has a significant element of chance. It is not enough for the bot to just work, the game around it also has to be visually appealing and intuitive to play. This is important because most of our programs will have users and stakeholders who care about the user experience in addition to the functionality of the code.
